Remember The Jones Girls???

Brenda, Valerie & Shirley smile

Diana, Crutis, Aretha, B.B. King, Patti surely didn't hire those girls as back-up vocalists 4 nothing.

My sistah used 2 have all their vinyls but somehow they all disappeared, so I had 2 live with (The Best Of The Jones Girls CD) but I couldn't go wrong with it. My fave songs from them are "Nights Over Egypt", "THe Feeling's Killing Me", "You're Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else", "Love Don't Ever Say Goodbye" and "Keep It Comin'".

Shirley will be missed-(R.I.P.)

Show your love ppl, show your love nod

I love the Jones Girl.Back in 1980,my mother had their second album which contained the hits "I Just Love The Man" and "Dance Turned Into Romance".Those are my two favorite songs by them. But we can't forget "You're Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else" and "Who Can I Run To" from the first album in 1979.

In 1995,"Who Can I Run To" was covered by Xscape, but for the most part,The Jones girls have never really gotten the recognition they deserved. In 1986,lead singer Shirley Jones had a huge solo hit with "Do You Get Enough Love",a song that I just never get enough of wink

I'm gonna have to buy a Greatest Hits compilation from these girls.

I have the Greatest Hits as well. When did Shirley die, I don't remember hearing about that? My fave songs were "Dance Turn Into A Romance," "Nights Over Egypt," and my top fave "You're Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else."
"Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
"It's just my imagination, once again running away with me."
