If you are talking about vocals, I'll definitely go with Teddy. That boy could sing his ass off.

If you are talking writing and arranging, I'd take Barry. I'm not a huge fan of Barry's, but he was extremely talented.

If I took this concept into a studio 2 lay somethin down I'd take Barry's string orchestration, percussion, and horns and put some words 2 Teddy's soulful growl.

I flipped a coin..... it's Barry White. I flipped again.... it's Teddy Pendagrass. So there..... I think this is a trick question.

Teddy in a heartbeat.

While Barry was a fabulous baritone, his music were abit one dimensional; bedroom atmosphere.

Teddy tackled different feelings which made him a winner in my book.

Musical arrangement: Barry White. The dude had some killer tracks; strings, drums, horns, and a nice rhythm section. If in doubt, just listen to "Put me in your Mix"

Lyrical content: Teddy P

Sex Appeal: Teddy P.

Vocals: Wow. I would give the nod to Barry. I still rock "Come On" and my wife just freaking melts!!

Collaborations: Barry White..I thinking Big Daddy Kane, working on probably the greatest slow jam ever (IMO)..."The Secret Garden", he worked with the ageless wonder, Tina Turner, the brother has a nice list going.

Longevity: Tie. They both dropped something like 20 plus albums, a ton of #1 grooves, and compilation albums. I would say a tie.

In the end, you can't go wrong with either of them. But I would pick Barry White..just because of "Sho you right" The dude crushed that song.

Tough call but I'll go with T.P.

I think all the bands and musicians back then went thru that. You come out with a certain style and it rewrites or adds another chapter 2 the book. But then the label sees dollars signs so now the studio becomes an assembly line and you're forced 2 punch the clock or end your carreer if you breach your contract.
