Eugene Wilde - "Gotta Get You Home Tonight" and "Don't Say No Tonight" Eugene had a few hits on the R&B chart in the mid to late 80s including these two #1 tunes:

Love them both, but I am partial to "Gotta Get You Home W/Me Tonight," as it felt more original. "Don't Say No Tonight" seemed like a copy. "Be glad for what you had baby, what you've got..."

I wonder if "Don't Say No" was meant 2 be a sequel to "Gotta Get You Home".....

Jean Carne rejected "Get You Home Tonight" for obvious reasons

I wonder if "Don't Say No" was meant 2 be a sequel to "Gotta Get You Home"..... He had another song, with the same theme called "How about tonight". I have a feeling that those three songs were part of a trilogy. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I loved the SHIT outta these songs The only thing I couldn't handle about Eugene was his damn hair I was pissed when I picked up a Best Of cd a few years back - they did something to that version of "Gotta Get You Home", I swear they left out an adlib phrase from the end. I used to know that song word for word so I know it's missin'! BITCHES

Thats the funny thing about "best ofs" - the almighty EDIT factor Thats why I settle with "best ALBUMS" instead of compilations,,,,I'll make my own compilation, thank you
