The styling is impeccable. She's just simply not the right person for it. I do give her big ups for always working with folks who know how to turn an image out, though.

I'm sorry but does anyone else think Beyonce is just way overrated? She is a beautiful woman, she dresses nice, and her voice is nice- but not great and far from exceptional... and most of her songs are just plain weak to me.
I think she is a better actress than singer. Maybe if someone wrote better songs for her I would like her music more?

As far as weak songs, I kind of agree. A LOT of her music is just a beat w/ percussion, and her voice. If you listen to songs like "Crazy in Love", or "Deja Vu" or even "Single Ladies"...the versus are really just a loop and her singing. There's no keyboards, no bass, no guitar, NOTHING musically going on. Now while on one hand that's great because she can basically sing acapella and do a great job at it, the other side says "been there done that". It becomes uninteresting, repetitive and reminds us of the previous song.

Then there's this: Every one of her albums has that one BIG song with a sample. "Crazy In Love" sampled "If You're My Woman Tell Me So", and that was catchy. "Deja Vu" sampled some MJ and other stuff. Kept it musical at times. Then you have songs like "Green Light", "Freakum Dress", etc that are just HORRIBLE. Bad production, bad beats, bad melodies, forgettable at best. Dangerously In Love had a few other decent tunes on it like "Baby Boy" and "Naughty Girl", but that seems to be the exception, and not the rule. "Halo", "Diva", and "If I Were A Boy" are all horrible songs. Some might like them, because they're USED to them now. Doesn't mean they're good songs.

On one hand she's prolific in that she can whip out a lot of songs in a short amount of time. But on the other hand, are they GOOD songs? Are they worthy of putting on an album and promoting? Where does the madness of 1 or 2 song "sampled to death" songs on an album of 14 filler songs end? Often times, her remixes have been MUCH better than the album versions. There's a few remixes of "Deja Vu" that knock her version out of the water. Same for "Naughty Girl". (Even the "Batdance" mashup of "Naughty Girl" is a lot better in some regards.)

She needs to bump the quality up a notch, and not worry about the quantity. At this rate, it's going to take forever to even get a Greatest Hits worth of stuff out of her.

I think it's funny, someone thinks she's a better actress because Beyonce can not emote to save her life. So she can hang up that Oscar dream she has.

However, I heard the acting wasn't that bad in Cadillac Records.

She can sing, she needs producers and songwriters who understand how to coach her in using her voice, and find the emotions in the highs and lows and not just belting the notes.

I do think she did try a bit on the I AM part of her album.
