Early Bacharach - "The Blob" Burt Bacharach wasn't always a household name, and before he was he had some lesser known tunes. In 1958 he wrote a catchy little hand-clap driven ditty with Mack Davis (brother of Hal, the other half of the Bacharach songwritting duo) for one of my favorite 50s sci-fi/horror films, The Blob. Dig those groovy graphics. I've got this vinyl single at home.
The Five Blobs - The Blob Peaked #33 on the Billboard Pop chart in 1958. | |
