Swagger is to to move with confidence, sophistication and to be cool.
Swagger is to conduct your self in a way that would automaticaly earn respect.

With that said:

Tie between Morris Day and David Ruffin.

Bootsy Collins - only if he changes his outfit
David Bowie - honorable mention
Iggy Pop - you're kidding right?
Rick James - well do i really have to say anything?
Axl Rose - just another alkey
E-40 - weeble wobbles, looks clueless half the time

If true, based on the "Five Fingers" joke...

According to Charlie Murphy, on the DVD of Chappelle's Show, Rick had his swimming pool in his LIVING ROOM! He also said Rick used to come up to white girls, say "Come here bitch I'm Rick James!" and licked her on the side of her face and said that she was "with it", meaning they had sex after that. lol

According to reports, Morris in the beginning was basically "created" by Prince in his own alter ego, that's WHY he was a "puppet". Maybe he isn't now, but musically he was. Stage-wise, however, he had his own swagger so I give him that. cool

I just loved the way Iggy has that "I don't give a fuck" stance, like he can just bare himself and not freak anybody off. Only Iggy can get away with what he gets away with!

Iggy's old, but he's in great shape for most guys, even those in their 20s. Besides, this guy put his stuff on amps back then...and people were like eek Let's just say impressive understated the case! cool

Mick and Roger Daltrey are holdin' it down too. These old cats can still rock it out full force. headbang Bowie, tho a much more subdued type, is also still impressive. Bootsy's lots of fun as is Morris. I wonder if August Darnell is still around? hmmm

Recall the Concert for NYC after 9/11? I recall watching both The Stones and The Who just blow those young acts away. Poor Kid Rock looked like their grandpa when compared to them. It was fantastic! cool

Most of the younguns aren't into stage craft and haven't been for decades. My theory is that most of them didn't do the club/live performance scene that used to be a rite of passage for all genres.

For all Beyonce's faults, she DOES try to give a good all 'round show which is rare these days. The oldsters came of age in a time when almost everyone HAD to have stage skillz in addition to music or they wouldn't last. Eric Clapton is probably the sole exception to this from the 60s era.
