I saw that thread also but when I saw this one listed as simply LaBelle and the other listed as Patti LaBelle, I knew this was the one I wanted to post on. I only like Patti LaBelle solo in the late 70s/early 80s. Beginning in 1985, she became pop and adult contemporary sounding (like sooooo many others) and bored the hell out of me.

I love this song! This has been getting much play lately.

I just realized Nelly sampled this back in '04! It wasn't just DeBarge and Teddy P that was taken from the song ("My Place"). That Nelly! I had no idea he was a Patti LaBelle fan (well I should've known, he sampled "Love, Need and Want You" for "Dilemma", lol).

They weren't able to do their encore "Lady Marmalade".Nona was in her dressing room,pounding her head against a wall.There was blood everywhere.She was having some kind of breakdown and the ambulance was called.The group was finished.
