No she is not the new Prince, but Madonna has been for some time now.
I am not sure what's wrong, but it's probably your fault!

SoulAlive

There will never be a "new" Prince.Or a "new" Michael Jackson,or a "new" Madonna.Legendary artists are one of a kind and they can't be replaced. No torch will be passed. The newer acts shouldn't waste their time trying to become the "new" anybody. They should try to carve out their own musical identity, like the legendary artists have done.

What's wrong with the Prince we already have? confuse Lady Gaga wishes she had as much talent as Prince has in the heel of his left boot. She's way more of an image than Prince ever was. Prince's lyrics don't include excessive amounts of repetitive drivel either (OMG, I want to punch the hell out of her for 'Pokerface' pissed and that 'Disco Stick' nonsense...give me a break rolleyes ). Plus, last I checked, Prince can actually play more than just the piano. Seriously, if Lady Gaga is the new Prince, than they must be ice skating in hell right now. nod

She's a copy of other great artists before her; and, copy cat artists are as unoriginal and wack as they come. Nothing about Lady Gaga is really innovative or ground-breaking...really don't get all the excitment about this broad, but that's just me.

NONA HENDRIX
GRACE JONES
MADONNA
ROISIN MURPHY
BETTY DAVIS
BJORK
are the Pioneers of AVANT GARDE... Lady Gaga tries too hard...The only buzz heard is her outfits if not for that she'd disappear,Aside from those who follow her I don't hear wow Discostick is a masterpiece ill
with the cut-n-paste pop singer females of today, what would best suit her. When I see her I oddly think of Christina Auguilera ( Not voice wise just OTT outfits)

The last singer to influenced fashion/music was Amy Winehouse (Rockabilly is back!) As for Rhianna her style NOW works to her advantage but she didn't start out with a edgy-punk look,Every singer was turning into Beyonce.

This is what's wrong with the current industry very few artists have a point of view of who they are,Leaving their image/identity in the hands of managers or stylist.Which can either make them forgettable or memorable.

nod People are being sold counterfeit goods with this Gaga chick. She's as original as any tribute band.

Lady Gaga is far too gimmick-based
You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

And if you were with me tonight,
I'd sing to you just one more time.
A song for a heart so big,
god wouldn't let it live.
