The Sound of Miles Davis PBS has been showing this 4 song set intermittently the past few days.
...So What ...The Duke ...Blues for Pablo ...New Rhumba It's a TV performance from 1959 featuring most of the Kind Of Blue musicians (sans Bill Evans & Cannonball Adderley) augmented by the Gil Evans Orchestra. tA  Tribal Disorder

more interesting and entertaining from a visual point of view than
anything i've seen on tv all of this year so far, lol. why aren't there more things like this on tv? even if they don't make this kind of stuff anymore they should at least re-run this kind of show all the time on tv. this is legacy stuff, the kind of thing kids need to be introduced to. from a sonic point of view, i'm floating right now  love it  and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

Kind of Blue - Miles Davis Giant Steps - John Coltrane Time Out - Dave Brubeck Portrait in Jazz - Bill Evans Sketches of Spain - Miles Davis And some Pop tunes of the same year... I Only Have Eyes For You - The Flamingos Misty - Johnny Mathis High Hopes - Frank Sinatra Mack The Knife - Bobby Darin Only Sixteen - Sam Cooke That were getting mixed in with the emerging R&B/R&R tunes... What'd I Say - Ray Charles Kansas City - Wilbur Harrison There Goes My Baby - The Drifters Poison Ivy - The Coasters La Bamba - Ritchie Valens There was still a high level of musicality in all this music. Where did it all go wrong?
