WHAT SONG IS THIS???

I was listening to some oldie goody station and they played this funky R&B track where the lyrics went something like this:

Male vocals
"We've been together...for so very long

I would hate to break up...break up our happy home

the way we love and the way we cry....something something

makes me feel...something something"



Female vocals on the chorus

" I will be good to ya
Be good to ya
Be good to ya
I will be good to ya"


What song is it and who sings it? I loved it and it kind of sounded familiar but not really. Anybody?

I don't even think you hear a woman in the original until the ending. Syreeta Wright can be heard hollering alongside one of the brothers (and another vocalist, I think Billy Preston) singing to the end of the track.
