No love for Dave Matthews Band's new disc - "Big Whiskey & the GrooGrux King"?

I wasn't too impressed with the last couple of releases, but this one kicks much ass and the box set is fabulous with some great artwork by Dave.

Anyone else here pick this up?
• Did you first think Prince was gay? •

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

WOW! Thanks for the youtube vid. I was expecting to see some kick ass vinyl in there lol

Nice artwork! I didnt know Dave drew that cover...it looks good (judging the cover). I want it just for that reason..and I am a closet fan who never picked up his albums.

I picked it up. I've been a fan since their major debut and was saddened by the loss of LeRoi Moore. I figured this one would be darker, all things considered. I'm amazed at all the references to God, the devil, eternity, Jesus.

Granted, these are hardly new topics for DMB to cover, but the angle seems sharper, this go 'round. The album seems less focused, too.

THe album kicks ass!! I posted about it recently and no surpise almost no one responded, too busy jumping on threads about bullshit artists. This album is amazing and the playing is on fire, Best tracks to me "Funny how it is" and "time Bomb" which is on fire, the playing and vocals are crazy, and that opening sounds like something EWF would do.

Interesting way they set that up... I may check it out, I haven't been into Dave and 'em like that tho.

I think this might be one of the best DMB songs I've ever heard. Definitely in my top 10.

I love to see Dave live just because of his band and when he has Robert Randolph open for him
