(June 10, 2009) *Jeffrey Osborne is gearing up to release his first ever concert album, "Greatest Hits Live!," on July 7 via E1 Music. This comprehensive collection showcases live renditions of all the Osborne classics from his three decades as a solo artist, and includes songs by his former group, the legendary L.T.D. Osborne began his professional singing career in 1969 with L.T.D., spending more than ten years fronting the band before leaving to pursue a solo career. During this time, Osborne recorded five gold and platinum albums which spawned such Top 40 hits as "Don't You Get So Mad," "Stay With Me Tonight," and "Love Power," which he performed with Dionne Warwick. I have the Sinbad 1997 funk festival on CD when he performed.
He shocked the hell out of me when he opened with Party Hearty. That was the funkiest Jeffrey Osborne had gotten in years. Don't laugh at my funk

I was watching a Lakers game last week and before it began,Jeffrey was on there,singing the national anthem.He still has an amazing voice! One of the greatest R&B singers ever.I will be checking out this live album. | |
