They weren't able to do their encore "Lady Marmalade".Nona was in her dressing room, pounding her head against a wall. There was blood everywhere. She was having some kind of breakdown and the ambulance was called. The group was finished. That's what I'm saying Dang.

Yeah I heard so much of that. Patti surely won the last fight: the song became a top 20 R&B hit in '77, the year Labelle split. I think it's a Patti LaBelle standard, lol.

Nona didn't want them doing ballads at all She wanted them to be an edgy, rock n'roll-type female group (which they were,in a way) but Patti had other plans. She loves soulful ballads.

I absloutly LOVE Ms.Hendryx though I think that had she been properly managed, she would've been a household name by now. Also the fact that she open about her sexuality, proved to be a big bump on the road for her. I ADORE this song, speaking of which

Well, when I think of what they were doing later in life in the late 1980s, I would sure rather hear a song like Nona's "Why Should I Cry" over Patti's bullshit "On My Own" adult contemporary sound. That song was just horrible. Andy is a four letter word.

Nona is an interesting artist. Some of her solo work is really edgy and groundbreaking, which is why she sometimes had a hard time getting airplay.
