Eminem, even though he has skills, seems to be going backwards. Aren't artists supposed to go forewards?

Because it's the same rants we've already heard before from Em...nothing new to say and no stand out songs. Also Dre's beats just sound tired too and just sounds like hes going through the motions - me thinks his 15 minutes is about up

Its been 10 years..I think 15 minutes is way understating his ability to stay in the game. Who do you think is better out now? One reason for me to stay a fan is because...nobody is doing it like him. Nobody I know yet at least. Asher Roth trying to copy his style..not working. His group tried to copy his style..didnt work. I don't know any rap artist that is like him at all. He is one of a kind. However...I am tired of hearing about his mom..but if he was rapping about flashy whips and putting credit cards through a girls butt like Nelly, I would definitley stop listening to him.

I actually like the album. But, I tend to think music should be about how good is the music, not the lyrics? lol.

Marshall should give up the hate lyrics, that's old school Eminem. Be clever.

depends on who the artist is. i think eminem is known more for his lyrics than for his talent as a musician. on the other hand, if i'm listening to a steve vai album (which i wouldn't do, but let's just say, lol), i wouldn't have high expectations for the lyrical content because vai is famous for playing guitar, so anything beyond great guitar playing would be gravy.
