Christina Aguilera Dirrty

I remember when this Vid first came out for some dumb reason I like it. I thought a bad-ass rebel.

I like it even more when those hypocrites Beyonce, Sharika, Jessica Simson said i would never do nothing like that.

I had a strong feeling Destiny Child Nasty girl was a about Christina and i thought dumb tacky dressing tricks lol

But as i watch it more and more it became degrading and I thought to myself this is not a video about women liberation and empowerment.

It was just Christina trying to break free and become a fake ass even more so vuglar madonna. No Real Sexiness at all!!!!

i think it was more of a way to show the public not to expect the same path as Britney more than anything

this was her single about the time Christina did Dirrty.

The song Dirrty itself kinda stands out like a sore thumb on the album
would have been a better representation of the album.

Oh I Love her Get mines, Get Yours song one of her best but Dirrty neutral

It just turn be off i mean yes sometimes when i'm feeling wild i'll blast it
lol but the Video she could of release Get mines, Get Yours instead.

She was being ranchy for no reason she can sing so she couldn't done ala Madonna express yourself kind of thing.

I've found it odd over the years that when an artist suddenly gets a little leeway in their recording career, after the bubble gum pop stuff is over, and after they grow up a little bit, that when they decide to "express the real me", they all do one thing: THEY TAKE THEIR CLOTHES OFF. I never understood how "this is the real me" has anything to do with flashing your vag and squeezin your titties.

Stripped wasn't a bad CD. In fact, I just downloaded "Can't Hold Us Down" video the other day. But all of her clothing, makeup, hair, etc during that time was BEYOND trashy. There's a fine line between sexy and flat out trashy. She crossed it. Her look was so gutter and filthy. It wasn't about liberation or whatever. That's a cheap ploy by these women who flash a tit, call themselves a "bitch" in a song, or open their vag to the point that the whole world is their gynecologist. It's about using sex to sell. They want a reason to say FUCK or at least talk about FUCKING. It was no surprise she hooked up w/ someone as filthy in Lil Kim.

Brit Brit did the same thing when her 3rd or 4th CD hit. She talked about "Touch of my hand" - masturbation, and God knows what else.

Yes, we get it. You've gotten laid, and your lady parts are on fire. WE DON'T CARE. Just sing. THAT is your talent (talkin' about Christina here, cuz we know Brit can't sing to save her life). I'm so glad she put some clothes ON for Back To Basics.

Even Ciara seems to be doing a lot of crotch grabbing and spreading of late. Gheeez, art has left the building. BRING ON THE STRIPPERS.

I am looking forward to Christina's new album later this year. It should be some good dance music.

Unfortunately, image and sex are both big parts of the entire entertainemt industry, and it's been like that for decades now...it sucks really, because real amazing talent doesn't always come in a pretty package. sad Sex has always sold, as the old saying goes, but I do believe that it's going way too far nowadays. When it's largely marketed to kids, that's when I start having a big problem with it. Most of the lyrics in music nowadays are pretty racy even when they are edited by the radio.

One thing that I've noticed about newer Christina interviews is that she stays true to her belief that her image during her 'Stripped' days was her way of liberating herself and trying to empower women to go against the double standard. Even though I think she went a little over the line with it, it's her life to do with as she so pleases. If she believes that's what she was doing and moved on from it, than it was really no different from what regular teenage girls and young women do everyday. Like Britney, she grew up in the industry and really didn't do all those rebellious things when she was a teenager. Her childhood wasn't a very nice one either, so when she got labeled by the industry as a Britney wannabe and a controlled, bubble gum pop princess, I guess she just decided to go balls to the wall and give them a big 'Fuck Ya'll!' with 'Stripped'. The lead single, 'Dirrty', was like her giving them the middle finger. lol

For all I know, both of their over-sexed images may have just been their transition stages into womanhood which I can understand, to an extent; but, after the transition, I would hope to see something different; some type of change....one of them changed; the other didn't. If going through a wild streak means you emerge on the other side a more mature woman, than get wild, honey, but emerge on the other side changed for the better.

Christina's albums have all shown a different side of her as a whole and 'B2B' showed that she had grown up and and outgrown the 'Dirrty' days, but she never regrets doing it when asked about it in interviews and that's something I think is great. Don't live with regrets; every moment in your life has the potential to make you a better person. She's knows that she's a vocalist over everything else and that's all that matters to me. The DVD that I saw of her 'Stripped' tour in the UK was fantastic. I loved this performance:

I can't wait for the movie and her new album to come out because she always comes with something different to offer with each new release.
