I don't know what to make of them. I have not been a fan of Sammy Hagar, but he is a skilled vocalist. Haven't had a chance to hear them yet.
Maybe if the material is good... My Legacy

Yeah, they were good, but I thought it was a bit dull... I was hoping for something new/fresh... but it was pretty standard rock and roll... I think they would have come up with something more interesting without a vocalist. But then they wouldn't get nearly as much attention. [Edited 6/8/09 12:36pm]

I agree with coolcat. As much as I love and respect all 4 of them, I wasn't blown away by the music. Maybe it's too dated sounding for my ears?..I dunno. It sounds like stuff I listened to 20 years ago.
But I'm happy for Sammy and Mike..It's cool to see them doing something together after the b.s. Eddie Van Heineken put them thru. I was really more interested in hearing the "Planet US" project with Sammy, Mike , and Neal Schon. Supposedly it sounded like TOOL, Zep and early VH.

Just got the album, And i was pretty impressed...
The tracks sound very old school rock, i think its mainly because of Sammys vocals. The Last track is awesome...Satch is the man. Take a listen to "Future in the past" Keenmeister

I respect them all but I think it's not at all unlike OU812 - the VH record that made me give up on them

I saw them at the Fillmore May 15 and they were great. I have never been that big a fan of Sammy but I am a fan now. He sounded great and finally impressed me as a frontman.(I had seen Van Hagar twice) Some of the songs sounded a bit too poppy, but for the most part they rocked. Joe was amazing and Michael Anthony made me realize how much he was missed on the last VH tour.(Nothing against Wolfy) Chad was acting a fool the whole show and Sammy even joked that was the reason the RHCP's don't let him have a mic. They seemed to be having a great time playing together.
