Whitney Houston: New CD September 1st http://www.billboard.com/...0275.story
The wait is over -- Whitney Houston is finally making her comeback on Sept. 1 with an as-yet-untitled album on Arista Records. For her return, the label has set up a countdown on the New Jersey-bred artist's official site, WhitneyHouston.com, which will also preview selected tracks slated to appear on the album in coming weeks. I wish Whitney the best of luck. She once had a spectacular voice. I hope she can still do it.

Still hard for me to think of Whitney without an image of Bobby helping her out in the bathroom. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Yay!!! Clean Whitney is back...hopefully. Hopefully all the drug use hasn't ravaged her voice and the album doesn't come out sounding all altered as a result. It's one thing for Britney to have all the over-produced, voice-altering sounds because she never really had that amazing of a voice to begin with, but Whitney had/has (?) outstanding vocal abilities so it would be extremely disappointing for her to lower herself to that level. I'll wait for the first single to see how this goes. Prince Rogers Nelson

yep. hopefully she got that attitude of hers in check as well. Now that crack and Bobby have been removed (hopefully ) from the equation, I hope the attitude is more under control. However, the 'Diva-tude' will more than likely remain unscathed. Prince Rogers Nelson

You know, I never understood how people always blamed Bobby for Whitney's problems. Nobody placed a gun to her head and said, "Smoke this". Whitney did that on her own and she sure as hell did not start when she met Bobby. The people that should be blamed for her behavior is Whitney and maybe her "wannabe Diva" mother. She should have broken a foot in Whitney's ass for acting like an ass. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Whitney seems a little geeked up to me in this interview way back in 1986! Maybe she's just trying to be charming and sexy I hope, it's just my imagination. Yeah, Bobby Brown is sick of everybody blaming him for Whitney Houston's drug use. Whitney was already doing drugs before she met Bobby. He took the rap because everybody thought Whitney was a damn angel. I still like Whitney, I am glad she's making a comeback. Whitney had three stints in the rehab so at least she is trying! Maybe she and Beyonce can do a duet together. They both have powerhouse voices. [Edited 6/4/09 14:33pm] [Edited 6/4/09 15:15pm] The message you are about to hear are not meant for transmission. Trust me, I totally blame Whitney for her bad choices that resulted in her almost destroying herself and her career; and, I'm definitely not placing all the blame on Bobby, but Bobby wasn't exactly helping her become clean and sober either. He was her 'partner in crime' and just as much of an enabler as everybody else who was around her during that time and watching her do this to herself without trying to stop her. Honestly, I agree with you that Whitney was her own worst enemy; just like I believe that Britney Spears brought 95% of her problems on herself, but for some reason many people want to keep using her mental illness as an excuse; and, pointing fingers and blaming her family for somehow forcing her to become a child star and her ex-husband for 'making her trashy'...uh no. She made some bad decisions; they came back to bite her in the ass; now she's having to fix them...that's life for ya. Prince Rogers Nelson

Well, even her is an improvement over what's all over the radio these days. She certainly can't hurt things anymore. Her powers are gone. Andy is a four letter word.

I don't think things can get any worse than "Just Whitney", but, I've been wrong before. Even if she does sound like a croaking frog, it's good to have her back. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Why am i thinking she is either gonna get the "auto-tone" treatment, or some Akon production or some bullshit ne-yo written song. She needs a fucking straight up ballad, SUNG, dont go the fucking Lionel Richie route "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

I'd rather hear her working with David Foster again, doing some big, schmaltzy pop ballads, instead of some lame urban crap with Ne-Yo or Akon.At least the pop stuff is convincing, coming from her.
