Yeah,this was a huge comeback hit for WAR in 1982.Great song! One of their funkiest jams.The album 'Outlaw' is also remarkable.

It's about time you showed up for this one.

I dug the Outlaw LP, but I jus' couldn't catch the groove on 'You Got The Power' ..
My joint is the epic 'The Jungle'.

The title track is my favorite song on this album.There's also a really good slow jam on this album ("Baby,It's Cold Outside").

I remember hearing "The Jungle" on the radio back in the day. For years, I thought it was The Stone City Band for some reason and searched like hell for it. It wasn't until about two years ago, when I bought War's "Outlaw" album that I realized it wasn't the Stone City Band.

Was looking at their live double album just yesterday, not many tracks but some looooong jams. any good? i'll admit i know next to nothing about them.

I like "Cinco De Mayo" too but I have one complaint with the remastered 'Outlaw' CD.On the original album,"You Got The Power" was the opening track and "Cinco De Mayo" was the final track.On the CD,they reversed these two songs,which annoys me.I like to hear the songs in the order that I remembered them.
