Proof that hip hop is steadfastedly losing any and all credibility. I would have thought Lil Wayne would be more creative. But then again maybe he is just a slave and needs a whooping. did I hear a souljaboy sample? confused

Heheheh, it seems like my posting style is still very popular around here. Y'all still ain't used to it. If arrogance is not suffering fools gladly, then so be it. You numbnuts don't bother me.

If y'all weren't so concerned about addressing my arrogance and lusting over a chance to zing me for past verbal ass whuppings I mercilessly, yet gleefully bestowed upon that ass, you would be able to get over your hard on for me and focus on my posts. Never did I belittle the Black American experience in America. To suggest otherwise betrays your idiocy. I explicitly wrote:

Of course, when the word was used by these nimwits, they definitely weren't thinking of Hebrew slaves or any other countless cultures that have been held in captivity at one point in history. But, why the fuss over it? Are we talking about the Black elite using that word carelessly? No. We are talking about uneducated numbnuts who haven't a clue. The misuse of that word by this rap group is a symptom of what is ailing Black America today.

...So why BK is giving me static about a slight belittling of the Black American diaspora on my part, I have no idea. As for the rest of his schlocky post on the Black American experience, I ain't interested, son.

Then, I get BlockheadKing's static about me telling people what they can and can't get offended by. As I sip on this fine California Merlot, I wish to say to that: um, shaddup? Nowhere did I tell anybody what they can or can't be offended by! Here's my point again, lovers:

If you are genuinely concerned about the effects demeaning Black American art has on the Black American experience, in regards to this song and/or other many examples of contemporary Black coonery, then I apologize. Obviously my posts aren't directed towards you.

BUT!

If you came up in this thread, huffing and puffing and throwing your chest out about how this song is ridiculous! This song demeans Black America! This song shouldn't be played on the radio! This song supports awful Black stereotypes! This song is harmful to Black American culture! But you were shaking your ass in the club last night to "Drop It Like It's Hot" - YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE. And the reason why I thought this thread was full of it is because as I was reading the posts in the Pretty Ricky thong thread, nobody seemed to be offended by his example of another Black American minstrel acting a coon. Y'all were more concerned with his choice of coloured thong than the fact that another young, talented black man was on the internet, in a red/pink thong, grinding and licking his lips - no wonder the world thinks we're a fucken joke! Where was the righteous indignation over that clear example? Aren't we suppose to conduct ourselves more nobly than that? - simply because of the hurtful black stereotypes? You guys are focusing on one word and a coon's use of that word while letting other coons get home safe? Hypocrites. I'll call you out faster than a McDonald's pick up order at Oprah's.

If you don't like my opinion, come to Boston and let's sip on this Merlot together, the night is young! But one thing you know is that you'll never get a Chuckaducci opinion that's based out of his ass. I don't make posts so retards can applaud or stroke my ass. I make posts because I have an unique perspective; because I'm all heart baby!
You need to grow the fuck up seriously.

Chuck,

Folks on this board -- Blaque, Harle, theAudience, Vendetta, I and scores of others -- regularly denounce and lament the sort of music associated with black artistry. Our records on what exemplifies music are pretty consistent.

So, with that said, there's no inconsistency in our denunciation of this latest black-exploitative single. Hard to see where the basis of the inconsistent, hypocritical charge lies.

Your arrogance isn't at issue. Your accuracy is.

Songs like this make me glad that I grew up in a different era (the 70s) when we had "quality music" to enjoy. It's sad that today's kids are being exposed to crap like this.

VENDETTA i repeat for you:
As sure as a day is 24 hours long, someone will be along to defend this bullshit.

First things first - reading comprehension must be an abandoned art. Because NOWHERE in my post did I defend the artistic merit of this song. I said it's as musically, artistically and lyrically vapid as most of Black American hip hop/pop music. So this statement is groundless.

WHATS WRONG WITH U?
Maybe you are not one of the people who are sensetized when somebody calls you N* out your name or had no thought for Nas' cover for the Untitled album, however when you joke about something in your OWN culture and community that we STILL are struggling to get over because of b.s. like this there is NO WAY we can sit and say "well I'm just going to dance and make my black people look even more stupid anyway".

Meh - this part of your post is a bit jumbled for me. But my point was the only reason folks were upset about this song is because of the word "slave" {as if Black Americans were the only people in history subjected to enslavement}. If he said instead "whip it good" while the lyrical content of the song remained, nobody would have cared to chastise the artists involved. I doubt an outcry from this board and a subsequent thread featuring Black musicians making music that is embarrassing or demeaning to our culture. I'm saying that is hypocritical and self-righteous! If you are going to attack one song for it's outright coonery, then attack them all. And although I do not haunt these boards as religiously as some of you do, I don't recall seeing threads about the culturally destructive minstrel elements of Lil' Wayne, Rick Ross, T-Pain, et al.

Like I said, y'all need to quit. Self-righteousness don't look good on you.

This is where you are dead wrong. There have been plenty of threads
chastizing lil wayne and tpain for their coonery. I don't know enough
about rick ross but i'm pretty sure he's in the same vein. All i know
is he is some big ass dude with a beard that rhyme and from what i've
seen of him on BET i generally change the channel with the quickness.
When it comes to this nonsense these days the bottom line is profit.
As long as the young people are buying it and it's making the labels
rich, it's going to continue.

I'm not prejudiced against the recent state of music,,,,but I can make a difference between a "chickenhead" tune and "good tune". Its not an age thing, its a taste thing lol

And yes, I'm fimiliar with the "grouchy parents who think their generation's music TOPS all" but I'll NEVER fall into that category, dahling sexy

As for accuracy, like I said in an earlier post, if you are true to your word, and not only denounce this particular coon tune (hahah) but all of them, then my post wasn't targeted towards you. I only had a problem with people who stated that they were outraged with the song in question, refused to listen to it, but then went over to the Pretty Ricky thread to watch the coon Pretty Ricky video.

As for arrogance, I just ask that folks read my posts carefully. I am not arrogant - I am honest, I don't pander to an org clique and I don't spend a lot of time wondering what people think of me.

And did we say we LIKED that video?

How was it coonish of an r&b star to dance in his drawers? Ive seen much worse from Paris to Kelly... the song was terrible...but thats about it. Plus..it has to do with his sexuality more than the music or what you say him being "coonish"
I don't think that video has anything to do with his race...however this song does have to do with race in particular... "Kunta Kinte on my s***...." what?
