Because the song was nominated for a Grammy?

Of all the singles released form The Way I See It, this one was the most successful chart-wise.

It was serviced to Urban AC radio and is doing quite well. It is currently number 8 on the Urban AC airplay chart on Allaccess.com

I like this song.....it has a pleasant, early 70s vibe to it.Raphael really went retro with this CD!

This should have been the first single released.

It's probably my favorite, but I don't think it's a great lead single because there's not enough spotlight on Raph.

But it's doin' the best of his 3 released singles so far (Love That Girl and 100 Yard Dash.) I hear it at least twice everyday the past month and a half. That's more than 100 Yard Dash (never heard on the radio) and Love That Girl (Which I would hear a couple of times a week.)

I don't listen to the radio, but I would've made it the second single.

I agree.

I love 100 Yard Dash, but it wasn't 2nd single material to me. I wish they would release "Sometimes" or "Just One Kiss". Those 2 songs would be great singles also. Especially "Just One Kiss".

I'm glad that Raphael and his record label are going "all the way" with this project,in terms of promotion.Three singles,a tour and now a DVD.I predict that there may even be a fourth single. These days,if a CD doesn't become a massive hit in the first week or so,record labels lose interest and allow it to fade away.

So true. Most times, now, they only release one or 2 singles and that's it. Even if the album is doing ok. I would think that the amount of money they put into making these albums (record companies and artists), they would try to promote it to no end, but they don't.

I didn't know Raphael Saadiq song "Never gonna give you up"! It doesn't even sound like him at all. Marvin Gaye is all over that song. I like this song too with the catchy beat here...
