Personally I like Dolly's better. Just a better sound to it, vocals great.

Curious your take?

Just like, "I'll Will Always Love You", I prefer Dolly's version. Meshell's just drags.

nod Good way to put it. I like a lot of her signature tunes so I do need to look in her catalogue more. She's definitely an artist of caliber with great tunes.

This album isn't one to pass up.

While I see what Meshell is trying to do by bring the lyrics to the fore and showing that the song really is bout loss or rejection it just seems rather whiny. Dolly brings the disco beat and the optimism of the song full frontal which makes the song fun.

rah rah Dolly. smile

Lady Tee said it best...and let's apply it to MN - cause she does, she do, makes me want to: Since I was a child I yearned / to wear the rings around Saturn / My finger burned!

MN - that's a deep well right there.
