Great choice! Love this song and album.

Danny Gokey tore it up on American Idol too. I actually bought his version on iTunes and it's just as good. He has that gravely range in his voice when he wants, and he used it during this song. This album reminds me of my early Navy days in 1987, shuffling around Philadelphia at 19, with no restrictions on life or anything else.

Agreed, he's changed a LOT. Not sure it's for the better. Living across the pond has certainly influenced his music more over the years. It's almost like he's doing acoustic art rock or something. I wish I were more interested in his stuff these days, but I'm not.

"O Divina", "Some Birds Blue", "Designated Fool" were his last good songs.

Love that he's independent, doing his thing, etc. But....COME ON! Dance little brother!

This was THE joint back in '87. That whole album is darn near flawless and listens as good now (maybe better) than it did back then. I remember it so well. TTD and Vanessa Paradis gave us a real turn around from what had been going on in pop to that point.

...This was the first D'Arby/Maitreya song that made an impression for me.
