I just bought another copy of 'Songs In The Key Of Life'

This time,it's the newly released vinyl reissue (premium audiophile,180 gram) lol What's cool is that it has the original packaging that we saw on the 1976 pressings, including the bonus 45 single that came with it.Also, the HUGE lyric book.

I also bought Rick James' 'Street Songs' vinyl reissue. These things are great!

I have said many times on the org...This album SHOULD be required listening in every music appreciation class. It is a masterpiece and in my opinion, Stevie greatest work!!

Ouch, but it's still a good buy. It's one of the greatest albums ever as far as i'm concerned. Light years in front of anyone else.

Yeah,$40 is alot, but it's an amazing package to have. The vinyl is high-quality and much heavier than usual vinyl records, and it is packaged exactly like it was when it was first released in 1976.Same big booklet, same bonus "45" single with the four bonus tracks.Even if you already have this album on CD (and let's face it,we all do,lol),the vinyl reissue is still a nice thing to have.

Not only that, but it is one of the only albums I know, that talk about the state of the human condition of that time. I listen to it once a week.

It's my father's fave although I'd probably go with innervisions or Talking Book as a whole, this one is so close though. I love how it starts with "Love's in Need"

If it ain't Tamla, it ain't where it's at.
If it ain't Gordy (the label), it ain't groovy.
If it ain't Motown (the subsidiary), it ain't shit.

lol

Of course. cool

Here's Tamla's slogan: "The sound that makes the world go round". Motown's of course was "the sound of Young America". smile

Yes i just got an old temptations album from my mom's house called
Doin the temptations 1965. The album has no cover. It has the girl's
alright with me, why you wanna make me blue, and since i lost my baby.
The album is fairly decent condition but has its share of pops and hisses.
I also got smokey robinson & the miracles album Going to a go go from her
with the old ass Tamla imprint 1965 too. I like the cover of that album
with Smokey sitting on the skateboard. I also have that album cover for
my wallpaper this month celebrating black music month.
