Also, the bid-prices for some of those on ebay will rocket skyhigh once they're out-of-print, lol.

Especially some Japanese prints have a relatively brief time period in which they can be purchased.

I've experienced that with a few releases from different artists, hehe, but nevertheless in some cases the Japanese remasters sound much better than reissues from other countries. They do a heck of a job on that cool

Did you hear about the upcoming Prince reissues? Every album from 'For You' to 'Lovesexy',if I'm not mistaken,is being reissued in Japan.

Yeah ... sigh ... right now no mo budget to spend. Man, they're on a roll over there in the Far East. Reissues keep flooding the shores.

Yeah,I'm thinking of getting 'The Other Woman'.That one had a few good tracks on it.'Woman Out Of Control' wasn't terrible, but I already have it on vinyl.I like the title track and "In The Heat Of The Night".'Sex And The Single Man' is forgettable.Nothing great on that album.

G'head and gimme flak, but "I'm A Dog" is a guilty pleasure. Plus, naive young women should pay attention to the lyrics: ("You had your chance, girl/You shoulda left me alone/Cuz you knew I was a dog long before you took my bone")

availability for the states, yeah, but local? they stay in print
I know people who have visited Japan, and they told me that they have LOADS of record stores, stores dedicated to just vinyls, new and used albums, imports...everything. you can find anything there.

the top 4 areas record collectors and DJs must visit are

Tokyo
Los Angeles (I'm going this summer)
New York
London

and San Francisco gets an honorable mention lol

This is my favorite Ray Parker Jr. solo song:

"Bad Boy" (1983)

It's a cleverly written sequel to "The Other Woman",with alot of funny lines and ad libs.

spank me,whoop me,let me come back home...break out the leather baby,go head

lol
