Cinnamon234 said: Maybe some aspects of it were planned, but I just can't imagine Eminem would be okay with having someone, and especially another man at that, stick their bare ass in his face. Nah, I just don't buy it. I think he'd be too worried about his image to agree to that. Doing something like that certainly wouldn't help his bad boy image he likes to portray. I don't think it was that funny anyway. Rather unhygienic if you ask me. I'd be pissed too if I were Em.
Eminem got to be the center of attention for a little bit on national television. That just earns him more money in the long run.

Bahahaha, 'We Made You' sucked nutz, so now Em knows how it feels. I'm afraid of Americans. I'm afraid of the world.

perhaps Em is so comfortable in his manhood that he can stand to have one of the most famous current comedians put their ass in his face
the shit was plain funny esp. bcuz it seems like a lot of people bought it

Yes people, it was staged:
The final word on Eminem/Bruno: It was staged, writes head writer 05:26 PM PT, Jun 1 2009 Reader comments are still pouring in regarding Sacha Baron Cohen's in-your-face crash-landing on Eminem at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night, with a debate still raging as to whether or not Eminem was in on the joke. "Mr. Show With Bob and David" writing vet Scott Aukerman has thankfully cleared up the issue -- and stole a bit of thunder from MTV in the process. He writes on his Tumblr: Yes, the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged. That’s all anyone wants to talk about, so let’s get it out of the way. They rehearsed it at dress and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show then. Okay, you can stop reading this blog now! But you shouldn't, as Aukerman provides a nice behind-the-scenes account of working with Andy Samberg and Akiva Shaffer, who tapped Aukerman to be their head writer for the MTV Movie Awards. He details an opening that was scrapped at the last minute, as well as the challenge of bringing Samberg's sketch-heavy comedy stylings to the MTV Movie Awards. Feel free to pass doubt on trusting social-networking sites on the Web, but Pop & Hiss is tipping our hat to Cohen, Eminen and the entire writing team for offering a much-discussed bit, and moving on. -- Todd Martens http://latimesblogs.latim...riter.html I bet both Eminem and Sasha are cashing in on the publicity and laughing all the way to the bank. MTV: "So, we'd like to have Sacha Baron's ass on your face as Paris Hilton is not going to do it."
Eminem: "Okay, sure." | |

I really dont get why people feel so shocked about this, and especially why they feel sorry for Eminem.
I mean, Eminem has dissed dosens of people in his songs and videoclips and has also made several homophobic remarks throughout his 'career'. He has built a career on that kind of (IMO often tiresome and predictable) 'shock effects'. Now he is getting a 'payback', from a married, heterosexual comedian playing the role of some very stereotypical european gay. You might find it tasteless maybe, but its nothing more then an ironic joke. The fact that Eminem walks away right after it, instead of doing a 'pay back' on Sasha by using his usual 'humor' shows what a contrived pussy he actually is... Or.. They are indeed both in it, and use it to promote their new album / new movie.. The biggest shit I read here is about street credibility, as if you should take ANY angry looking rapper singing about his 'o-so-hard, but glorious' past seriously... come on, cut the crap.

that shit was SO staged it wasn't even funny. his reaction was SO fake. "are you f-ing serious" so unconvincing. he HAD to pretend he was pissed and leave, because of COURSE, Eminem doesn't want another man's ass in his face. Dre is his boy for a REASON.

^Yep, exactly. I'm surprised some people thought this was real and not staged ...as if Eminem or anybody would just sit there and let some guy with his naked @ss hanging out sit on them! If it werent staged, Eminem wouldnt just sit there and let that guy come down on him like that lol! It just makes me wonder how far we're gonna go with stunts and gimmicks in lieu of actual entertainment, of which there was precious little on that show.
Can't figure out why they still call it MTV. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I think they paid him off, or Em realized that it was better to pretend he knew about it, than not to. Oh, and I don't care who this occured to, NOT funny. Let Awards shows be award shows. We would never be able to have a Fred Astaire, or a Ginger Roberts, in this day. [Edited 6/2/09 16:47pm]

MTV is famous for exploiting, using, making fun of, then spitting out and making the brunt of their wack ass jokes, and meanwhile the biggest joke is that MTV is a shambles, its not even relevant anymore, hasnt been in over a decade. I mean come on, MTV made fun of Britney and her "gimme more" performance, they kicked this girl on stage, knowing she was in no condition, then made her the brunt of all the criticism, rather then looking within, then a year later BEGGED HER to be on to help their shitty ratings for their wack ass music awards that no one cares about.
This character of Sasha's is to expose Homophobia in America. i'm glad he did what he did to the very homophobic Emienim. You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

Uh, Em performed with Elton John, in his movie 8 Mile he stands up for a gay character...yes he made jibes at the beginning of his career but I don't think he's homophobic. I mean, this whole stunt should prove he's far from homophobic
