"As" seems to make folks jump to the dancefloor.

I always play Master Blaster in the month of July.

Superstition and I Wish usually work for me too.
We all want the stuff that's found in our wildest dreams.

It all depends on your audience. I know here in Dallas, I couldn't play too much Stevie to get people on the floor. They would enjoy "I Wish", "As", "Do I Do" and "Up-Tight". The rest of his songs they wouldn't get into for dancing here. Now, You could play "Ribbon In The Sky" if they want to slow it down and most women would go crazy once they hear the first note.

Around here, Zapp, Roger and Funkadelic's "Knee Deep" always get everyone on the floor. Also "She Talks To Me With Her Body" from the Bar-Kays. You can throw in some "Erotic City" and "DMSR" from Prince, "(Everytime I Turn Around) Back In Love Again" from LTD and Grandmaster Slice's "Electric Slide" and everyone jams out. They also like the "Mississippi Cha-Cha Slide" around here and the Miami remix of Blackstreet's "Booti Call".

True points it does matter where you are and what kind of crowd you got. I heard that in Detroit they like to play "My Eyes Don't Cry".

I have always loved that song...especially the remix. They won't even play it here in Dallas. Not even when it was new. confused

Well, I'm watching Stevie Wonder Live at Last at the O2 in London on PBS right now and they just did a version of Higher Ground that absolutely fucking killed everyone, including the band! They were all smiling brighter than the sun after playing that one to death. Wow.

Check it out here (but too bad they faded it early cuz they just took it up higher from here for another few minutes).

You know what, before this thread I didn't realize "AS" was that popular of a cut, like, for the dance floor.
