Mariah Carey I am a huge fan of Mariah and have been since she came onto the music scene. I have posted some rare songs of Mariah's. I love how her voice is so unique and that her songs are so personal.

I agree. I remember a lot of people not liking it. The only complaint I have is Mariah seemed like a featured vocalist on the song. Cisco's voice was much more prominent. But, I do prefer this verison over Prince's original. I don't know, Mimi's version has very strong sexual overtones to it. I did the nasty to it once.  "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! 'Do you think of me' and 'everything fades away' are two of my favourite Mariah songs.
I generally hate her mid-tempo stuff except 'someday' and 'make it happen' My two cents worth | |

How ....dare....you I second that. How anyone can love the un-necessary histrionics, and faux soul warblings of those two, over one of Princes finest ever recorded moments is beyond me. As for Mariah, her stuff is a mixed bag for me. She's done some great stuff, mainly in the 90's, but i find a lot of her new stuff unimpressive and rather bland. She can still sing when she wants to, it just seems she doesnt want to anymore. None of her new stuff comes close to her 90's work. | |

People think I'm crazy because I believe Glitter is her best album. May I just say I find myself loving Glitter more and more. It has gone from 'just another album' to being a staple for me. The opening of Lead The Way always gets me misty and then becomes a beautiful song and of course, Loverboy, Didn't Mean To Turn You On, All My Life which is my fave, Never Too Far and Twister are great. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off | |
