Yes! (waving an unmanicured hand in the air) This is another one of my favorites. The title is jacked up but the song speaks volumes!

Probably the most overlooked cut on the album.

I wouldn't necessarilly say that. The entire album still gets lots of radio airplay. This album is one of the few where radio played every track...even now. This song is a Quiet Storm classic for sure.

'Let's Get It On' is my favorite Marvin Gaye album and I LOVE this particular song Every song on this album is superb.Remember back in the day when you could buy an album and play it all the way through....without having to skip any tracks?? Damn,I miss those days.

I remember getting the album at 16 listening to it without changing anything. That album (and "What's Going On", which I got around 15) and not to mention the anthology I bought around this period made me the MG fan I am now.

Now, I will admit, over the years I haven't heard it as much. However, I do vividly remember them playing it all of the time in the 80s along with the ones you mentioned.

You probably did remember something of it, lol. Like I always remember going in some record store and seeing my brother buy things without really knowing what it was, lol. He used to have a lot of Michael and Prince (and other artists) in his car.

I have an old vinyl copy of the album and it lists the song as "Please Don't Stay (Once You Go Away)".I have always thought that was an odd title,lol.But I recently got the 2-CD Deluxe Edition and on my copy,that song is now listed as ""Please Stay (Once You Go Away)".I wonder if the original title was an error that they didn't correct when the album cover was printed?

Motown is notorious for changing titles around on subsequent pressings.When Rick James released his 1982 album 'Throwin Down',the song "69 Times" was listed as exactly that.On recent compilations,it is now called ("She Blew My Mind) 69 Times",lol.

Weird... I think they once listed Martha and the Vandellas' "Dancing in the Street" as "Dancing in the Streets" with an 's' though Martha and the girls were clearly singing "STREET" without the s. Of course this has been corrected.
