What's your favorite Madonna movie?

Okay,we all know that Madonna is not the greatest actress. But I think you can find two or three decent films out of the dozen or so movies that she has made. What do you consider to be her best performance?

I think 'Who's That Girl'(1987) was a really funny comedy.Madonna was great in it.I also think that 'Body Of Evidence'(1993) works as a steamy, sexy thriller.

By no means am I saying that those are great movies, but I just don't think they're as BAD as the critics say.

What do you think?

Truth Or Dare...I thought this was a good documentary of her live show at the time with interesting offstage footage. She's a tough customer...look at how she tells the stage crew that there's not going to be a show if the sound is not right. It just enforces the notion that a t of hard work goes on behind the scenes that people never even see. You could see she had a friendship with her dancers and crew and hated it when the tour came to an end.

That movie is outrageous! Madonna cracks me up.Sometimes, she comes across as bitchy and self-absorbed,but other times she seems really vulnerable. It was hard to tell how much of this was "the real Madonna".But it's a compelling backstage doicumentary with many priceless moments.I love the scene where Kevin Costner comes backstage to visit her,and she totally disses him smile

Madonna is a horrible actress...chick should stick to singing.

HOWEVER, the only 2 movies I liked her in was that baseball movie, "League of Their Own" & "Desperately Seeking Susan".

I like her the best when she has a small role in a big movie..."A League of Their Own" and "Dick Tracy" fill this bill.

Of course "Truth or Dare" is great, but as a 'documentary" it doesn't really count...

her bit part in "Girl 6" was awesome, too.

co-sign!!

Although I must add, there will always be a special place in my heart for Desperately Seeking Susan (cause it's part of why I got into Madonna in the first place, I mean, she was just sooo damn cool to a 10 year-old) and Who's that Girl (cause it's a horrible 80's movie that no matter what I do I cannot turn off if it's on during a Sunday afternoon!)...

I really enjoyed "Dick Tracy" not just because of Madonna but because it was an awesome flick. "Who's That Girl" is not that bad either, but it's a bit dated.

I agree,Madonna does better when she plays small roles in big movies. She's actually a great "supporting" actress.

And yes,her cameo appearance in 'Girl 6' is classic smile

None of them... not even "Ryvita".

"Body Of Influence" (or is it Evidence, :I: don't care 2 remember) comes REMOTELY close.

No,I'm not kidding. We all know that Madonna is not the greatest actress( very few singers are),but a handful of her movies are decent.I'm sure even YOU can name at least one of her films that you liked.

Well ok Davideye, I will admit that I liked Evita. I don't think it was a great movie, but it was ok and she did a fairly good job, but I can tell you, she will never live down "swept away" and neither will her poor husband. I hope he has learned his lesson and sticks to making movies without his wife. However, we know who wears the pants in that family, so we shall see. I hope she never makes another movie again because she is a horrible actress, but like you said and I will agree, many singers are lousy actors.
