You know, John Legend's meet and greet wasn't that expensive. It was only like $60.

It's funny. I like some of his songs, but the few times I've heard him live, I can't stand him. When he f-ed up "B.U.D.D.Y" live on VH1, it really pissed me off.

Plus he is a very HORRIBLE performer. I forget what show it was, I think it was Stevie Wonder's tribute show on BET, and this guy came out and screamed or something. I don't know if he was singing "Superstition" or what but he was...

OK, I'm gonna do it like how Musiq titles his albums:

hewasreallyhorrible. disbelief lol

I had such high hopes for him in the beginning. His debut single was so good...until I heard him sing it on a show like Apollo or something. Not to mention the horrible version on ONA.

Yeah, Musiq sadly is a studio puppet. I mean yeah he does sing live but he has no stage presence, he doesn't excite the crowd, he acts like a hip-hopper on stage. confused

a lot more than these new male singers like bobby v, trey songs,
the dream, and j.holliday.

I totally feel you. I saw The Dream on Tavis last night. That guy is a one-trick pony for sure. All of his songs sound alike. At least Musiq has done a few different things in his career.

We get the point about an upgrade, but the problem is that $150 should be the cost for a ticket and backstage for a performer of his caliber. This guy hasn't sold that many albums and is a weak singer. Definitely not worth almost $300 for a show ($100 ticket plus $150 for upgrade).

I have never seen him live because all of the people I know that have seen have were highly disappointed.

I think the guy has some very good songs, but he could definitely improve on his performance abilities. Watching him on television is hard, I can hardly imagine what a stage show is like.

I would pay to see him if there was someone else on the show that I liked (India.Arie, Erykah Badu, etc.). I definitly wouldn't pay for a solo show. He's on tour with Anthony Hamilton and I can't stand him, so I won't be paying for that.

Right. I wouldn't pay an upgrade just to get more from him when to me he doesn't seem like a good performer.

Right. I wouldn't pay an upgrade just to get more from him when to me he doesn't seem like a good performer.

John Legend did an "upgrade" voucher at one of his concerts. If you paid $100, you became a member of his fan club for one year and you and a guest got to go backstage and meet him and take a pic. That is worth it. And he is a very good performer. I didn't like him at first, but he won me over as a fan at that show.

I agree I would never pay any amount of money to meet any entertainer, they should want to meet their fans for free, fan dont have to come to the shows

these promoters are nuts

So true. Not to mention, that's money directly in the entertainers and promoters pockets. All they need is 25 to 50 people per city to do this and they will make a killing.
