S.C. judge approves settlement for James Brown estate COLUMBIA, S.C. — A South Carolina judge has approved a settlement for the estate of late soul singer James Brown.
The settlement, approved Tuesday, gives nearly half the estate to Brown’s charitable trust, about a quarter to his wife and young son, and the rest to Brown’s adult children. The settlement establishes that Tomi Rae Hynie Brown is the surviving spouse and that her son is James Brown’s child. James Brown II will not be required to take a DNA test. The value of Brown’s assets has not been made public since his death in 2006. The judge who approved the settlement also says Brown’s relatives will create a museum or other memorial burial place for Brown. The Godfather of Soul is currently buried on his daughter’s land. | |

I didn't either. His family sounds like there is a lot of turmoil going on. I know a lot of us have family issues, but this family seems to be one of the worst. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
