I've been going over my Waxpoetics issue dedicated to P-Funk from a few years back. It's one of the coolest P-Funk books/mags that I have. My only regret is I didn't but more than one copy as I read it so often.
I will have to pick up this new one as well. cool

Go to a local news stand and they should have the one with Roger on the cover by now. Any valid news stand always are the first to get mags before bookstores. That's why news stands are so popular.

Yeah, that's a good one. Check with WP to see if you can get a back issue of the P- Mob.

They once surprisingly traced for me a long-deleted, Japanese import-cd of a 70's Brazilian souljazz-duo. Man, that was a trip !

Hahahaha... all the ususal suspects, I see.

I'm a cheap-ass bitch. I read the whole thing standing at the rack in my local Borders.

They don't mind though. In fact, I've even been invited to sit down in one of the big comfy chairs they supply for people just like me.

There's a charge for parking now though. A dollar an hour.

Hmmmm... can I read a whole WP in an hour? lol

Bi-monthly (6 issues a year).

Btw, i'd hate to be a Canadian subscriber ($75 vs $38 U.S. eek ).

There's certainly no perk to being a subscriber up here... I just cop it when it hits the stands.

U know, I just noticed today after having this issue for a few weeks, that on the very last page of the magazine, there is an ad for Daptone Records. That's the label that had recently released my father, Eddie Campbell's song "Bullet's Don't Have Eyes" which was released under my dad's duo Eddie and Ernie. That was first released a few months ago. The ad in this issue has a picture of the 45 sleeve. I looked through the magazine again and just noticed today. Very cool. cool
