The Other Side of Jazz - DOWNLOAD this radio show now!!

Update:

Download here:

----

Even those not too familiar with the vast legacy of Jazz music know the obvious picks by anyone from Satchmo, Duke, Charlie, Miles, Trane up to Diana Krall. But on this week's edition of our radio show Midnight Soulstice, we'll take you to The Other Side of Jazz. Expect two hours of rare, obscure, afro-centric, surreal, spiritual and funky Jazz tunes, mainly from the mid-1960s throughout the 1970s. This is going to be deep.
Listen love this Friday from 11 pm – 1 am Eastern Time at www.wrir.org

Some of the picks you'll likely get to hear:

This is a "mostly" unreleased tune he did for Weather Report's album Mysterious Traveller.didn't make the final cut, but it's just known as "Miroslav's Tune"...

The music sounds sooooo good, I didn't know what too do. Finally I steady myself, laid my floor, and enjoyed the music. Chico Hamilton, if this man played on some hubcaps I'd pay to see him. I've selected GARY BARTZ - "MUSIC IS MY SANCTUARY" as the National Anthem for all music lover. Syreeta Wright, what can you say.....? cool

I really looking forward to this show. music

I second that motion. biggrin

And yes, I'm really excited about the show as well. As a club DJ, you don't get to play so much Jazz, and I've selected some mind blowing jams. I'm sure that Mr. Felty picked some good ones as well.

After the disappointment at my old spots, I think I'll dig at Meaty's house this time. But I'm sure that he won't mind if you come along. biggrin

We are looking at the second weekend of July, btw.

Thank you. I think we're doing quite well, considering that we started the format just six months ago.
