i heard that the song was quite metaphorical and the lesbians really had a different meaning for the song and who they were singing to, esp. at the MTV Awards performance of the song. lesbos in the group: Latifah, Missy, Da Brat, the Chick from Total, etc. (Left Eye and Lil Kim have had very public "male" relationships but could probably switch hit too, esp. Kim), not sure about Angie.

Looking back 12 years later: Lil' Kim is not the same woman she was in the video, Angie's now just a deejay (and was always was a deejay I think), Left Eye of course is at the Pearly Gates, Da Brat is...Da Brat ( ) and Missy... is MIA.

Oh and Mary's definitely progressed from those years.
