That is an excellent question. U didn't hear people 20 years ago comparing themselves 2 the 1 who came before at this rate.

eek Someone should slap him silly just for using Hendrix and Lil Wayne in the same sentence!

Yep I agree, to the slap him silly part as far as Lil Wayne and Hendrix goes. I know Beyonce may like Tina Turner but she could NEVER be Tina. Ms Turner is not prissy at all she's straight raw in her performances and her singing voice.
The message you are about to hear are not meant for transmission. Should ONLY be accessed in the privacy of your mind. Words are so intense so if you dare to listen.Take off your clothes and meet me between the lines. wildsign

You'd hear it once in a while, but not with this rate and level of hubris. Even unholy egotrippers like Our Princey checks himself in the presence of his musical elders.

Exactly. Lil Wayne has lil-to-no impact on anything relevant in the industry today.

Whenever Weezy can have this kind of emotional impact let me know.

Why? Why is talking up his friends so shocking? It's quite hilarious how seriously the org takes everything he says.

I think it's sad how everyone in the media these days and even some music artists are trying to name the next madonna, jimi hendrix...etc. Wouldn't you want to be a pioneer instead of being a copycat. Usher tried to be the next MJ but that was short lived because people got tired of it as well as his ego. I really think the last pioneer superstar we've had is Mariah Carey.

Usher is in the business since 1994. He is a fuckin legend and will be seen as a true cultural icon in a few decades - like the Beatles, Michael Jackson or Madonna, to name a few.

Okay, this was ay joke. I think he sings like shit, looks like shit and his music is total #*§$?$!!

Because IMO comparing half-assed pop tarts to musical legends is disrespectful. These new performers don't have half the talent the people Kanye compared them to did.

I broke the news to my sister, and she told me Kanye no longer exists, and 808's does not exist either.

I should explain. She likes classic rock, but Kanye is the exception when it comes to rap. But now that no longer exists either.

Disrespectful? Please, taking a dude talking about his mates so seriously is disrespectful.

Anyone with a brain, including Kanye, knows full well "weezy" is not the next Hendrix (is anyone?)

Beyonce is definitely a contender for the R&B Queen crown but she's got a long way to go in terms of artistry.

Just laugh it off, it's harmless, he's talking up his friends (one being his boss's wife no less).

In Bizarro World, perhaps.

But here in this reality Beyonce is a showboating oversinger who can't act her way out of the paper bag she measures her face against.
