The Style Council

Here's another cool band that I've been getting into. Anybody else into the cool British soulful sounds of Paul Weller & Co? "Long Hot Summer" is the jam (no pun intended lol).

I'm a fan of The Jam/Style Council and Paul Weller solo. Glad I'm not the only one here biggrin Only seen The Style Council live (twice: London and Liverpool).

:I: did a party for DC LEE in 2000, and she's pretty cool. She's the cousin of my current employer (as a DJ), so she pops in from time 2 time.

:I: remember the 1st time I heard "Walls Come Tumbling Down", when they per4med it on "Top Of The Pops" UK when I was 6.

My mate Jaye Williamson (who eventually got me on2 a children's programme dancing with Donny Osmond c. 1987), was the backing singer for The Style Council on the "You're The Best Thing That Ever Happened" sessions. She's now known as Jaye Ella Ruth.

She's also the sister of renowned Saxophonist Steve Williamson.

Does anybody have one of their final trax "Wanted" by any media necessary!!

:I: loved the Sytle Council as it showed another side 2 Paul 'Mod rocker' Weller.

Paul 'The Modfather' Weller is one of Britain's best musician's and a incredible songwriter. I'm a big fan of The Jam, SC and his solo work!

Last month I saw him perform in Amsterdam! (my 3rd time that I saw him!)
