Apparently Carole died while Natalie received the kidney transplant...sad!
Natalie Cole loses sister to cancer Cole had her kidney transplant surgery, while her sister was dying Access Hollywood updated 2 hours, 48 minutes ago While Natalie Cole was having a life saving kidney transplant surgery earlier this week, her older sister died, according to the New York Post. Carole “Cookie” Cole’s cause of death was not reported, but Timolin Colin, Natalie’s younger sister, told the Post, Carole had a “cancerous spot.” “Our sister Cookie hadn’t been to a doctor in 30 years, and last week she went in and they found a cancerous spot on her lung,” Colin told Page Six. “They had wanted to start chemo right away, but Cookie said no.” Natalie Cole, who has hepatitis C and was undergoing kidney dialysis three times a week, was at her sister’s bedside when she got the news that a kidney was available. “She said, ‘What do you mean? I can’t deal with that right now! I’m here with my dying sister!’ And they said to her, ‘No, ma’am. We’ve got to do it now. You’ve got to be at Cedars-Sinai in two hours,” Colin noted. Natalie Cole had the successful surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She is expected to be released over the weekend. Copyright 2009 by NBC. All rights reserved. I just reported this to change the title. It'll probably be changed by 9, lol. And yeah I definitely was mislead to believe that Natalie died because I heard Carole died two days ago around the time I heard Natalie got the transplant so for this to be posted and not changed, people will come in here with their hearts beating out their chest.

First off...Wow rest in peace to Natalie's sister. Praying for her family and friends.
Second.....WTF! Why make such a misleading topic thread title. Fuck that shit. Third, WHY are people having a sigh of relief. Does Natalie's life mean more than her older sister? No. Fuck that shit.

I think people just were losing their mind because Natalie's name was in the title, that's all. It's still heartbreaking though that a member of Nat King Cole's family has passed on.

It's not a matter of Natalie's life meaning more than her sister. It's just that most of us are familiar with Natalie and are not familiar with her sister. We hear of unfamiliar people dying every day but when a familar person dies, it makes you stop and think. Andy is a four letter word.

She also played Grady's daughter on his show "Grady". This was the spin off of "Sanford and Son". [Edited 5/22/09 16:20pm] "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I don't remember ever watching the series "Grady" but I do remember an episode of "Sanford and Son" where Grady went home and was with his family. I'm assuming that the daughter in the spinoff was the same actress as that introductory episode. Andy is a four letter word.
