Happy Birthday Morrissey!!!! I’m posting this because Anxiety is in route to Chicago
to celebrate Morrisey’s birthday proper style, cause in Minneapolis you can’t really celebrate any musician’s birthday without the ever present dark cloud of New Power suffication. Morrissey, as we all know is the lead singer of the Smiths, known for his distinctive whine and biting, ironic, often quixotic lyrics. I remember my friend, Scott, putting Morrissey in his tap player as he drove us to school each day, and me thinking it sounded kind of odd and non commercial, and being that I we were in Birmingham AL, the accent threw me off. But I grew in time to love the Smiths, the ban he fronted in the 80s. And to appreciate some of his solo work. Happy Birthday old girl!!
