How do find out the worth of vinyl albums?

Is there a website? My sisters boyfriend has been cleaning out his uncles house, and told me today that he has a huge stack of vinyl records, both 12",and 45's,and all of them are still in there sleeves. I asked him what kinds of artists were the albums of,and he said he wasn't sure of all of them, but he siad that he is sure that he has the first Beatles album. He is going to be bringng them back the next time he goes to his house, and then I am going to help him put them on Ebay, but I need to know how much they could possibly be sold for.

search for the titles on ebay right now and see if any are there and what they're already going for?

that's not always accurate, because sometimes the people posting items on eBay are on crack and totally over-value what they put up for auction. but i will agree with you that it's a good start. also, check prices on gemm.com, which is kind of an online "flea market" of lots of different record store owners and collectors. that might give some further indication, but again, i'm not sure that it would give a definitive idea, so use caution!

You can check completed auctions and figure an average price of something. GEMM.com might be help too.
