Unreleased P-Funk, any era. I thought I'd start a thread about any "known" unreleased P stuff out there.
I ran across this Parliament/Funkadelic 2-disc unreleased outakes and demos thang circa 1973 so it says and it seems pretty cool. Varying quality of course but you get the gist. Also I ran across the much talked about Mammoth Sessions from the late 90s a few years ago and that's interesting but the quality I have is horrible. Is there better versions out there? Anyway enough P-funk heads around here so let's see what we come up with. Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

Brides Of Funkenstein / Shadows On The Wall Shaped Like The Hat You Wore / 1981 Dawn Silva, Sheila Horne and Jeannette McGruder recorded a third album that got caught up in the political hum drum of Clinton trying to launch his own record company 'Uncle Jam Records.' The album, scheduled to release in early 1981 was an eclectic mix of funk and pop."Just For Play" was originally slated for a forth Parlet album. After Parlet recorded the background vocal, Clinton decided to have the Brides sing lead vocals and place it on "Shadows."A song co-produced by Sly Stone 'Catch A Keeper' ended up on the 1983 release P-Funk All Stars 'Urban Dance floor Guerillas'. Four of the six songs slated for the album turned up on the George Clinton Family Series, 'Twenty Bucks, Love Don't Come Easy, Just For Play, and Think Right.' Trax : 1 - Shadows On The Wall Shaped Like The Hat You Wore 2 - Twenty Bucks ( written by : Ron Dunbar ) 3 - Just For Play ( written by : Ron Ford ) 4 - Catch A Keeper ( written by : George Clinton / Donnie Sterling / Sly Stone ) 5 - Love Don't Come Easy ( written by : Ron Dunbar ) 6 - Think Right ( written by : Ron Ford ) Credits : The Brides Of Funkenstein : Dawn Silva, Sheila Horne and Jeannette McGruder Producers : George Clinton , Sly Stone , Ron Ford and Ron Dunbar Additional Vocals : - Sly Stone - Michael 'Clip' Payne - George Clinton - Jeanette Washington - Shirley Hayden - Janice Evans - Mallia Franklin Guitars : - Tony Thomas - Michael Hampton - Jerome Ali - Gordon Carlton Keyboards : - Ernestro Wilson, - David Spradley Drums : - Kenny Colton, - Donnie Sterling ( Kiddo / Sterling Silver Starship ) - Dean Ragland Electric Drums : - Muruga Booker Bass : - Jimmy Ali - Ron Ford - Donnie Sterling Percussions : - Larry Fratangelo Strings & Horns : - Wade Marcus - David Van De Petite ..... Also wonder how the complete album of Sterling Silver Starship sounds. I have a few of trax of them on compilations tho.

Ummm. What unreleased George Clinton albums from the 70's? You mean Funkadelic Toys and U.S. with Funkadelic? Yes those are from the 70's for sure. Well the outtakes album I mentioned from early 70's is just that. Some instrumental jams, alt version, demos, unfinished stuff. Mostly works in progress stuff. The Mammoth sessions mostly I believe were close to being done but the audio I've heard is a really bad transfer from whatever source. These were from the late 90s and were supposed to eventually be new and seperate Parliament and Funkadelic albums. Some of this material ended up properly on P-Funk All Stars How Late Do U HAve 2 B B 4 U R Absent album. All this unreleased stuff is prolly for hardcore heads. Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

P-funk related of course.
I found out there is some unreleased demos/early version stuff of George Clinton's Hey Man Smell My Finger album. Which according to those who've heard, I have not, is pretty cool. Anybody hip to this? Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.
