Man...I can remember taking many an ass whoopings...getting caught up waaaaay past my bedtime...trying to watch this show!! disbelief lol

I love me some Wolfman Jack!!! nod

Here's just a sampling of what I got my ass whooped for trying to see! lol

There would be some early Prince right here but yeah...he's a piss ass! All the videos from his appearance don't have any audio on them! disbelief

That was a great show. Marvin's 1974 special, Diana's 1976 special and the Jacksons' 1979 special were special highlights. smile

fortunately my mom was a music head, so she would let me stay up with her and we'd watch midnight special and don kirschner's rock show just about every week.

i forget which one of those shows it was that had the promo clip for "i wanna be your lover", but it was the first time i ever saw or heard prince. i was 8 or 9 years old. neither my mom nor myself had any idea what to make of him, but i remember we thought it was cool that he was playing every instrument.

The older I get the more I realize my mother wouldn't let me do shit! pout

It's no damn wonder I gravitated towards and clicked with Prince's mumbo jumbo about not letting society tell us how it's supposed to be! lol I call it mumbo jumbo now because the older I get the more I realize, he didn't even believe that shit! shrug

VH1 was showing it back in the late 90s along with classic episodes of American Bandstand

You know...I really miss DJ's! I really, REALLY do! nod

Real DJ's...like Wolfman Jack, my One and Only Electrifying Mojo, Casey Kasem...not these dime store yahoos polluting the airways now-a-days!

Real DJ's that you welcomed into your home and your day (hell...life) was made just a little bit better because of the little time you spent together! mushy

Real DJ's fed my soul with music that touched my spirit.

Now-a-days...DJ's just try to force feed me crap that's giving me hemorrhoids! lol
