I liked Kris personally I think he has more talent and can play instruments, but don't worry they're both going to be around for a long time.

i'm glad adam didn't win... he never has to sing that ridiculous winner's song.... hopefully now he'll go and make an album that rocks

Tonight is finally the night where our misery ends and the prettiest girl at the party gets her sash and tiara! So who will it be? The glittery unicorn or the orgasm-faced coffee shop singer? Dial Idol says Kris has a teeny tiny lead, but their asses don't count text votes and they've been wrong a lot of this season. So take that with a grain of tang.

I could see it going either way. They are both very different creatures. Watching Glamberace perform is like getting your salad tossed by a fluttery fairy. Like last night, during his "Phantomess of the Opera" (good call, Simey) performance of "Mad Word," all that smoke didn't come from a machine. That shit came from Glamberace's magic hole! And if he wins tonight, a disco ball will pop out of his head and a chorus of 14k gold-plated elves will dance out of his peen hole. That's why no matter what happens, he should pack up all his Lip Service jeans and fly over to Las Vegas. The lights may short-circuit when he arrives, but that's where that bitch belongs. Only his "Steven Tyler getting castrated" screech could be heard over the millions of slot machines in Vegas. And really, his performances would be so much better with an open sundae buffet.

On to Kris.... Kris looks like he just came back from shooting a guest appearance on One Tree Hill where he played the dreamy college dude who can make pussays burst with his acoustic serenading (which he does nightly on the steps of the library). There was a time when I had to take a morning-after-pill after watching Kris' performance, because I thought his jizz faces were going to knock me up. So I understand why horny tweens would kill their cell phones voting for him. That's why it's a total toss-up for me. I could see it going either way.

"American Idol" finalists Adam Lambert. (AP Photo/Chris Pizzello)Through out this season of American Idol, Adam Lambert was consistantly better than Kris Allen. While I personally did not care for Adam's showtunes nature and enjoyed Kris's charm, I can appreciate the fact that Adam was a much better singer.

Adam Lambert had drag photo's and a boyfriend, Kris Allen had "boy next door" charm and a blonde wife. They were as opposite as can be.

What was the reason that Kris won over Adam?

It has to do with a number of things, first off, Kris was the cute boy, he was the one that all of the girls loved and, even though he was married, they wanted to be with him. He had a charming appeal and sang like an angel. Adam was the rocker, he reminded people of the homo next door, he was not "boyfriend material". He was WAY more polarizing then Kris ever would be.

The next huge factor in Kris' win was the fact that Adam's fans expected he would prevail. Throughout the entire season everyone raved about Adam, said he was amazing and made him out to be more then he was. In my eyes, he had two erformances that seperated him from the feild: Tracks of my Tears, and Mad World.

Of course, I belive Kris should not have even been in the top 2, as Danny Gokey was a far better, and much more consistant performer, but tht is beside the point, Kris did not perform one song that really oushed him above and beyond.

I think it comes down to one major factor: Adam was too gay for America. A number of pictures came out that showed him in drag and kissing on his boyfriend. America, well at least the backwoods version, likes their homos hidden and unknown. They don't like to see them in comprimising situations. America was not ready for Adam Lambert, not to say that he will not have an amazing career like many of the runner-ups have had.

Kris Allen did not deserve the crown, and Adam Lambert wouldn't have gotten it no matter who he was up against.

One day, America will be ready for a drama ridden drag queen who likes men, but not today

IMO Adam won by not winning the AI title, he'll definitely be allowed more creative freedom on his cd than the pre-packaged cookie-cutter pop crap that they usually force the winners to make on their cds.

I think what it comes down to is that Kris has a more mainstream appeal to many people than Adam. Sure Adam was a better overall performer and singer, but I've read alot of comments from people who hated his way of singing--to them it sounded like he was screeching all the time and they thought he was too OTT. So I think "America's choice" (if indeed it actually was America's choice and not rigged by the producers) has to do with more people preferring Kris's style over Adam's style--it has nothing to do with sexuality or religion. And although Kris has been crowned "American Idol" Adam has the potential of being an international superstar and icon. Just my

The more I think about it, the more that it makes sense that Kris won.
America loves the average talent over the better than average talent.
Just look at the Billboard 200.

Kris won because
1. hes from the south and the south votes.
2. America loves the underdog.
3. Adam didn't impress the 3rd guy's base.
4. Kris actually plays instruments.
5. Kris improved in the last half of the season.
6. He's cuter.

Now if Adam on the show had been an out pride gay man I could understand the backlash or hate issue, but since his sexuality was muted on the show this excuse holds no validity.

But you're absolutely right on why Kris won. It's the same reasons why Ruben, Kelly and 'em won. I think Fantasia was the "underdog" as much as Kris apparently was.
