Who remembers the Midnight Special with Wolfman Jack? Man...I can remember taking many an ass whoopings...getting caught up waaaaay past my bedtime...trying to watch this show!!  
I  me some Wolfman Jack!!! 
Here's just a sampling of what I got my ass whooped for trying to see!

fortunately my mom was a music head, so she would let me stay up with her and we'd watch midnight special and don kirschner's rock show just about every week. i forget which one of those shows it was that had the promo clip for "i wanna be your lover", but it was the first time i ever saw or heard prince. i was 8 or 9 years old. neither my mom nor myself had any idea what to make of him, but i remember we thought it was cool that he was playing every instrument. | |

My parents used to go on bowling dates on the weekends, and me and my big sister used to stay up with the babysitter to watch it, snackin' on that aluminum foil Jiffy Pop Popcorn that you make on top of the stove | |

Real DJ's...like Wolfman Jack, my One and Only Electrifying Mojo, Casey Kasem...not these dime store yahoos polluting the airways now-a-days! Real DJ's that you welcomed into your home and your day (hell...life) was made just a little bit better because of the little time you spent together!
