Danger Mouse to Release Blank CD

Can't see that this has been posted anywhere.

Some of this sounds really good, I love the first track. You can listen to it here:

You mean Sparklehorse, right?

Mark Linkous (i.e., Sparklehorse) is perhaps the most slept on American artist of the last 15 years. If you like this album, you really owe it to yourself to check out Sparklehorse's back catalog. I like this new work, but not as much as the older stuff. Danger Mouse also produced the last Sparklehorse album, Dreamt For Lightyears in the Belly of the Mountain. My favorite Sparklehorse albums are Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot, Good Morning Spider, and It's A Wonderful Life. All of the them are excellent.

I have posted about Sparklehorse in this form a few times. The response is usually the sound of crickets. lol

Sparklehorse is one of my forgotten mid/late-90's weird favorites that I kinda-sorta got into again last year. Didn't particularly care for the more recent stuff I caught up on at that point, but I may give it another go 'round a year later, with the "release" of this.

cool Yes, Sparklehorse goes on and off of my radar screen, as well. Some albums I was on top of at release, others I didn't listen to until they had been out for awhile. I have never managed to catch a live Sparklehorse show, but given the deft production of all of the albums I suspect I would be disappointed anyway. Twice, however, I have been out of town when Sparklehorse played here.
