"... coming from a woman?"

hmmm I'm not sure it REALLY IS coming from a woman. She's performing it -- but is it originating with her?

I know nothing about Khia -- aside from the fact that she wants to cook me dinner! excited woot! Sorry... I couldn't resist -- but I'm guessing that she's produced by men, performing songs often written by men. She probably thinks having an image like this will gain her notoriety and lasting success. Worked for Foxy and Kim... shrug

She writes, publishes and distributes all of her own material, a complete one woman show. She's trailblazing only in that she's one of the few females in rap who's done it just as the boys have done before her with this business model, pushing the number of units that she has...unfortunately, what she's also pushing is a cancer on intellect...as least as far as I'm concerned. I could do without her. Her vlogs and interviews are something to be witnessed to be believed, that's for sure neutral

I was afraid someone would post this. Far cry from Madame CJ Walker, she is...

Those songs were STUPID. She may think that it empowers her as a woman, but it is embarrassing.

O.k. so Khia might not make Kindergarten Teacher
of the year. But I'm sure Oscar would upgrade his
bin if she moved into Sesame Street. lol

and embarrassed is what part of empowerment?

biggrin

That is EXACTLY what I am saying. LOL

Not really...
I'm looking at content of subject material and life experience.

I'd be suprised if Khia is singing the same songs in
5 years as she does seems progressive in her approach.

Should i be embarrassed for you FutureGirl? lol

What you saying, that she is not embarrassed with her song selection? I still think the subject matter is embarrassing. If she is progressive and sings about other experiences, then good for her. But that song does not seem very empowering when she sings about licking her crack. LOL that is so embarrasing, I feel shame when I hear that song.
