Kashif was OK but I could take him or leave him. I mean, I wouldn't turn the station when one of his songs came on the radio but I didn't go out and buy any of his records either.

I'm sure you bought some of the songs that he produced for others?

"So Fine" by Howard Johnson
"I'm In Love" by Evelyn Champagne King
"Love Come Down" by Evelyn Champagne King

I think he also produced "Betcha She Don't Love You" for Evelyn, too.

this is dope

most female arists gravitate towards ballads and after hearing one groove i get tricked into listening to more meterial only to be dissapointed (cherelle)
You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

Melba was on a roll in the early 80s.With Kashif as her producer, she had a string of popular singles on the R&B charts.

"Love's Comin At Cha"
"Love Me Right"
"Mind Up Tonight"
"Livin For Your Love"
"A Lot Of Love (Love The One I'm With)" duet with Kashif

She even ventured into pop/rock territory with her 1985 hit "Read My Lips".A very talented lady.

I got this album from a family member who was getting
rid of some old records about a month ago. I got more
45's than albums though. I remember this song but is
the album good. I've yet to have a chance to listen.
I'm gonna raid my mom's collection this weekend for
some more of her old motown 45's and stuff and try
to clean them up. lol
Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Does that album contain the slow song that goes like this....

Remember if you don't follow your dreams
You'll never know
Oh you'll never never know
I said, you'll never know what's
At your journey's eeeee.eeeee.eeeee.eeeee.eeeee.eeeee.eeeee.eeeee.eeeee.eeeee.eeeee.eeeeend hooooo!!!!!

I remember riding in the car with my mother on the insterstate. By the time that bitch got finished screaming, we had made it clear across town. lol

I'm gonna have to get that record though.
