Question about Cadillac Records movie?

The scene where Little Walter shot and killed that guy - did that really happen in real life? Or were the movie producers tryin to win over the "American Gangster" fans?

He didn't kill nobody, he was a man who got into fights, yes, but he didn't kill nobody.

The scene where Leonard Chess dies of a heart attack in his car right after closing up his business is not accurate either, so you can assume this film is more "Hollywood" than factually based.
