all songs are songs but to some they are messages, stories, instructions, life experiences set to music. no matter what this song means to anyone... lyrically it be about a bitch whose man is hearing gossip from his ex and possibly believing it so new girl bout to whoop old girls ass if she don't shut her mouth. With that said, its lyrical bullshit cuz the man is clearly playin' both these Hos Nice Beadwork tho Not necessarily. Sometimes there are women who just can't let it go. They NEED to be put on notice- to BACK OFF and stop trying to talk to (now) "MY MAN" about me. I can think of a situation like that. There is clearly nothing going on with them, but she won't get that it ain't happenin'... so she's tried to "make him see". At some point a chick like that has to be confronted. "Love Hurts. Personally though, I'd confront him 1st & foremost about the fact that he gave some stranger the CHANCE to talk about me behind my back,,,,,people will talk till they're black & blue in the face regardless of what I do, but ARE you(MY MAN) gonna listen? Everyone was saying "Is that Erykah?" or "Have y'all heard Erykah's new song?" which shouldn't surprise anyone since The Roots originally had Jilly singing their hook on "You Got Me" on their demo but they asked Erykah to sing it on the actual cut. I adore Jill, everything on her first album was really crazy GOOD! I do like the subsequent albums but neither is as strong as this one. I skip a track or 2 on Beautifully Human, & skip a handful on The Real Thing. But her voice is amazing, I'll always support her
