Saw Depeche Mode in Tel Aviv last night!

Amazing performance. I'm not the biggest fan, but they've been a kind of background soundtrack to our generation I guess. I liked their nineties stuff.

Anyway, it was a great show. Briliant video art and lot sof energy by Dave. Interesting, powerful arrangements and a gutsy set-list: 5 songs off their new album, some lesser known hits and the omission of some of their biggest.

NO COVERS in a 2-hour show. Instead of doing a greatest hits, they went for a cohesive, consistent well-constructed show,

(The fact that I got free tix w backstage pass helped razz Had a nice chat with Martin Gore after the show in the VIP lounge...)

Did they at least do "Home"? beg

Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

This is the setlist from the Luxembourg show, and I think it was exactly the same (except that PJ was definitely in the 2nd encore):

1 In Chains
2 Wrong
3 Hole to feed
4 Walking In My Shoes
5 It's No Good
6 A Question Of Time
7 Precious
8 Fly on the windscreen / Lie To Me
9 Jezebel
10 A Question of lust
11 Come back
12 Peace
13 In Your Room
14 I Feel You
15 In sympathy
16 Enjoy The Silence
17 Never Let Me Down Again

1st Encore

18 Stripped
19 Master and Servant
20 Strangelove
21 Personal Jesus

2nd Encore:

22 Waiting For The Night (Bare Version
"We've never been able to pull off a funk number"

"That's becuase we're soulless auttomatons"

Quality! They are one group I've always wanted to see live. I think it's been 15 years since they last toured down under.

Have to disagree with this - this setlist is nothing like the last tour, which itself was nothing like the one before.
This is not an exit

They censored the video in Tel Aviv - cut it before it got heavy...

Yep - it was the Songs of Faith and Devotion (Devotional) Tour. And they killed it. I love this new setlist - for fly on the windscreen alone!!!!

Fingers crossed they decide to tour Australia again soon.

I counted 8 songs from their album in the setlist u posted above, if I'm not mistaken. Very good setlist!
