What happened to the sticky Madonna thread, why can't I post in it?

Anyway, the following has been confirmed by Madonna Tribe and other sources, regarding the tour setlist:

Heartbeat -> Holiday

Borderline -> Dress You Up

mmh... I'm fine with Borderline being replaced. I always disliked the rock version.
Heartbeat is my personal fave on HC but many despise it though and probably the S&S audience didn't feel the song so that Madonna ha no fun performing it?

Or it's too tough to sing?

This song is criminally underrated!!!

^Chances are, "Dress You Up" will be rock too, she might just reuse this:

"Heartbeat" did have a cool reaction from what I know, but it's that she had to sacrifice one song and contrary to what fans hoped, she'd rather keep the Gyspy segment intact. It WAS too tough for her to sing though, on many shows she just let the backing tape do the thing for most part.

Not sure about the underrated part because now almost everyone is upset because she's dropping it and they all wanted "Spanish Lesson" go. Not me of course, because I love the live version of "SL"!

I wonder if "Holiday" will be done like "Music", a simple group dancing number, or something new?

How can anyone outside of the gay hardcore still take her seriously?

cool reaction? Like cool being a bit warmer than cold? Or cool like phat?

Holiday as a more solo version would be something new. So far it's always been some kind of encore...

No, not cold, cool as in very good, I think some Paris reports said it was well received. Then again, in Rome even "Spanish Lesson" was supposedly big, so it just depends on the country.

I agree that "Holiday" could be a solo version, something new, and not something as uninspired as the RIT version. Now the same source was saying that both new tracks are getting an interesting makeover, maybe no rock versions after all?

I liked all the remixes of the older songs, and I'm REALLY excited bout the Holiday version.

Awesome! Can't hardly wait. cool

I just hope that Warners does it RIGHT this time.Considering all the hits that she has had,it shouldn't be that difficult to compile them all onto an amazing 2-CD set.

Not sure, it's a very simple song after all. In fact it actually bothers me how basic it is, just two verses and the chorus is repeated till no end. I'm sure she only does this song for the fans, she didn't even write it herself and she wrote a lot more sophisticated hits than that. I even find it overrated by fans, but I guess the majority who wants it to be performed were very young and living through when it was a hit, so that's understandable...

I wa snot born then but I like it. It's a perfect pop song, great catchy chorus, a pretty much similiar chord change was used on the chorus for 4 Minutes.

I was more excited by the rumors of "Who's That Girl" being performed. I'd still love to hear "Dress You Up", but I wish she'd wheel out "Who's That Girl" at least once and acknowledge it's place in her canon.
